The distance learning Master's Degree can be used for mastery of many fields. The field characteristics determine the parameters of job employment.
Education values the Master's Degree as a basic rite of passage allowing for inclusion within the ranks of professors. Professors holding Master's Degrees hold most 2-year college positions. Those who hold dual Master's Degrees gain advantage for college professor positions, because they can teach multiple courses

Masters are needed for many higher level occupations: therapists, clergy, educational counselors, vocational counselors, school counselors, substance abuse and behavioral disorder counselors and instructional coordinators and psychologists.

The Nationally Certified Schools Psychologist (NCSP) and Amerian Board of Professional Psychology (ABPP) regulate the psychology field. A Psychology Specialist receives the (Ed.S) title.

Types of psychology include - clinical, counseling, school, industrial,
organizational, developmental, social, experimental and research.

Employment locations vary: business, nonprofit, government, universities, hospitals, clinics and private.

There is also a Masters in Library Science (MLS) which could be good for those interested in the educational field.

Only 15% of adults had at least a bachelor's degree in West Virginia, giving them the title of least educated state in the United States. Arkansas, Kentucky and Louisiana are also at the bottom of the list.
